The Components of the EBS FREAK! E-Bike Conversion Kit
All small parts required for the conversion are located in the basic box. These include, for example, various cables, fixing materials, sensors, adapters, torque supports, cranks, plugs and various other parts depending on the retrofit kit. For some conversions we offer a basic box for the front wheel and rear wheel. Make sure that the selected base box fits your engine type.
Cycle Analyst V3 - The Ultimate Bike Computer
The Cycle Analyst V3 combines the features of a bicycle computer with those of an electronic control system. This cockpit not only provides detailed information about all relevant parameters of the system in real-time, but also gives you a comprehensive control over all aspects of your drive. The Cycle Analyst provides the EBS Programmable Controller with set limits and values to enable driving profiles according to your individual needs.
- Displayed Data: besides the typical features of a bicycle computer, instantaneous data, net energy, recuperation, Wh/km, peak current, charging cycles are also displayed.
- Adjustable Parameters: Speed limitation, current limitation, undervoltage cutoff
PID Control (“Proportional-Integral-Derivative“ control) - In practice, this term, which seems complicated at first glance, means that the drive does not stop abruptly when reaching maximum speed, but regulates gently backwards. This results in a very natural driving experience in spite of lively power development and high top speeds.
With the Potentiometer you can directly control individual functions of the Cycle Analyst without having to go through the menu. It is mounted directly on the display and thus enables easy operation while driving.
Crystalyte 1000W MotorFor the EBS FREAK! Ebike Conversion Kit Ebike-Solutions exclusively uses well-proven, latest generation 1000 Watt Crystalyte Motors. HT Series (HT3525) is the version with the highest torque: Fast acceleration and a lot of power but a slower top speed than the HS Series. HS Series (HS3540, HS3555, HS4080) is the fast variety among Crystalyte motors: slower acceleration, but a high top speed.
The Simple Control Centre: the EBS 3-Position SwitchYou keep simple control with the 3-position toggle switch. The 3-position switch\'s default setting is adjusted to 50%, 75% and 100% of maximum speed. This way you can always choose the desired level of support right from the handlebar. Different settings from 30 to 100% are available on request. In addition to the 3-position switch, delivery also includes a power throttle and a cadence sensor. Your choice of three different combinations:
1. 3-position switch with power throttle
2. 3-position switch with cadence sensor
3. 3-position switch with power throttle and cadence sensor.
Activation by EBS Power ThrottleThe EBS FREAK! E-bike Conversion Kit comes with a thumb throttle. You can use it to activate the e-bike and apply motor support. Since the power throttle is not limited, it can activate the motor up to the maximum speed of any selected level. As opposed to our Pedelec Conversion Kits you don\'t need to pedal since an e-bike can also be driven by the power throttle alone. Motor power is not limited to 25kph as is the case with a pedelec. Due to higher currents higher speeds can be achieved. Activation by EBS Cadence Sensor: Simple Assembly, Fast Start and Short Coastdown TimeThe Pedal Assist Sensor (PAS) consists of a sensor with attachment clamp and a plastic disc housing 6 magnets. The magnet disc is placed on the bottom bracket axle and the sensor is attached to the bottom bracket cup using the clamp. As soon you start pedalling the magnets pass by the sensor. This signal is routed to the controller that activates the motor. To enable pedalling backwards is safe, our cadence sensors are equipped with additional hall sensors. This prevents the motor from accidentally being activated.
Optional: 6-Level DisplayThis display shows the remaining battery capacity via 4 diodes based on voltage. The integrated start-assist pushes the bike forward in low rpm-range, as long as you press the button. As soon as you release the button, the support stops. When pedalling you can choose between six levels (percentages) of maximum speed. In the highest level 6 the system reaches 100% of the maximum speed. In step 0 the support is switched off. The 6-level display is available in a 36V or 48V version. Delivery includes an adaptor cable to be connected to the controller\'s power throttle port.
Note: To make use of the 6-level display it has to be connected to a cadence sensor. The latter delivers the required signals to the display. If you wish to use the 6-level display in conjunction with a power throttle, please consider the following advice.
EBS ControllerThe "brain" of the EBS FREAK! E-bike Conversion Kit is a latest-generation controller. A black aluminium housing protects the electronics from splash water and dissipates heat. The default setting is adjusted to provide support after half a revolution of the cranks. Simply choose your desired accessories and connect them; no matter if it\'s power throttle, brake kill switch or 6-level display: With our controller you stay flexible. You can actually use our controller for all our pedelec motors featuring hall sensors.

Assembly of the Brake Disc
Front wheel and rear wheel motors are equipped with a 6-hole brake disc holder. The new housing for the PUMA is considerably slimmer than the previous model, so that now ALL brake disc sizes can be mounted. Previous PUMA models had only 203 brake discs compatible.
Note: Only use 5x8mm screws to mount the brake disc. Longer screws will block the mechanics of the motor and may damage your conversion kit. Suitable screws can be found here: 5x8mm stainless steel TORX screws.

Lacing Service: Professional Impeller Construction
Gladly we take over the professional impeller construction for you. Our mechanics process only high-quality components and pay particular attention to robustness and longevity. We only use stainless steel spokes and, if technically possible, highly stable aluminium hollow-chamber rims. Please indicate in the order comment after the shopping cart how many pinions/wheels your plug-in cassette has and whether you want a certain valve type (AV/DV/SV). You can also send us your own rim for spoking instead. Please keep in mind, however, that we cannot reduce the price, as the accurate measurement requires additional work. If you would like to order a Tadpole Trike, please let us know in the order note, as it may be necessary to save differently. We will then contact you.
Conversion in our Workshop
You don't want to retrofit your bike yourself? No problem, in our workshop we can convert your ordinary bicycle into an electric bicycle with the conversion kit you have requested. In addition to the retrofit, you will receive a free initial inspection!
